thank you

October 16th, 2006 by iez

thank you all for the wishes and blessings…

thanks for those who have been there during my happy times, and for those who were there for me during my miserable days, i can’t just thank you enough…

i am terribly sorry that i was uncontactable last week, as i was in taiwan and did not turn on my singapore number all the times. but eventhough i didn’t get your wishes, i believe you’ve tried to contact me… sorry and thanks once more!

for my labmates who have created an explosive birthday mooncake and an early celebration last week: I love you guys! the hairdryer works very well too!

for taiwan trip companions, jj & evelyne who buoght me sweet little cake and were there for a humble celebration of my bday in the salty beancurd restaurant: Nice mini little cake, girls! sorry i finished it by myself =D

for my housemate, rima, who bought my a very nice present, just the one i wanted: You’re just the best!

for someone who greeted me exactly on 12 o’clock: How sweeeeet!!!

wishlist

September 30th, 2006 by iez

we just celebrated another birthday in the lab. and as most of the time, i was appointed to get the present. and as most of the time too, it was hard to choose a present. and i started thinking, "how if she doesn’t really like the present? or she doesn’t need it? or she doesn’t want it?" although i know that anyone would be happy to get a present, but would she be happier if she gets the one she really wants? and unfortunately, most of us are not psychic, and we can’t read other’s mind (otherwise, our mouth and ear are just for accessories, hehe…)

SO, i decided to start something (not really) new. thinking that some ppl may want to buy me presents (yeah, i know u do! ;) …hoping…), i would like to start my wishlist here:

- hairdryer (small one, which i can bring easily for travelling)
- clutch (brown/beige)
- bag (to fit A4 size, not a sling/backpack type)
- long necklace
- earrings
- pocket camera
- belt

ok, that’s all for now. should be adding more whenever i have new craving ;)

failure

September 26th, 2006 by iez

i just failed one lesson of life. and it feels darn bad. maybe i’m just not prepared to. i’ve never prepared to, and never will.
shall i retake?
or shall i just leave it and wait for the next coming one?

desperados

September 21st, 2006 by iez

some people have nothing to do but spamming, hacking, pretending to be someone else, threatening others, lying….

they are so pitifull, as they are unsure about themselves, ashame of their own identity, not confident with their capabilities, and just have nothing better to do but disturb others’ life…

they are…. desperados…

when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade

John Tucker Must Die!

we wanted to watch it…. the show time given in the website is 9:10 pm. I was still in my night class then. with hope that we could catch a cab soon after we left the class, and that there would be a very long ad for sneak preview, jj and i thought we could still catch the movie. and apparently, the bad luck striked again…
there was no cab…
we decided to call a cab, but the driver lost his way in ntu… and irritatingly he kept telling us that "i know ntu, i know ntu…"
while waiting for the called cab to come, we stopped another cab thinking that it was the one we called. apparently it was not, so we got off…
waited again… the driver called, he was still lost….
we decided to cancel the booking, just get into the coming empty cab…
we canceled the booking…. BUT the coming cab REFUSED to stop to take us!
we called the previous driver again, saying that we are not canceling the booking.. :S
FINALLY, he found us… or more exactly, we found him!
reached jurong point, we were rushing to the cinema. but we were stucked because some people just don’t know that they should keep left while riding the escalator!
when we got at the cinema, the AXS machine did not want to accept the credit card used to collect the movie tickets… arrrgghhh!!
when we finally got in, the movie had started about 20 minutes or more, i guess… coz i didn’t get to see how John Tucker fools the girls… :(
but overall, a very entertaining and joyful movie to watch, thankfully…

quoting from jj "when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade"
when life gives you nothing, what can you make?

the point is: Jesse Metcalfe, you are just so cute!!!!! hahaha… out of point? never mind laaah….. life is just too tough to take it seriously!

i hate cutting hair in singapore!

September 11th, 2006 by iez

my hair was over my shoulder yesterday! i thought it looks alright, just that it was out of shape… and the color looks bad too…
so i decided to get it trimmed and colored. i went to Jantsen, Westmall.
i specifically told the hair stylist that i want to keep my hair long. she said, since it is out of shape, she suggested me to get it shaped. yup, shaped! i’ve already had bad feeling about it. the last time i heard this sentence from a hairstylist, my haircut got worsen, and also the time before that, and the time before that, and the time before that…. hmm… perhaps most of the time when i go to hair saloon in singapore :S i’ve never really learnt from old lesson, i guess…

so what do i get now? very farnie lookin haircut. i should not go out without it being tied up! the coloring is alright. but i really hate myself whenever i look onto mirror now!

i’ve lived here for more than six years. i’ve never been able to communicate well with hairstylist. or, they only know how to cut one style, the stupid one…

taiwan: checklist

September 6th, 2006 by iez

I’m going to Taiwan next month!

bought my airticket, which supposed to be the cheapest one as i’m flying budget airlines, JetStar Airways. Apparently, there are many offers coming with cheaper price and better airlines… :(
ok, take note: departure from Sgp on 7 Oct, departure from Taipei on 15 Oct.
ow, i’m going to have my birthday there!

just got my visa two days ago. Taiwan Embassy is very efficient! I drop my application on monday morning, and collected my passport with stamped Taiwan visa on the next day afternoon. Great! wish indonesian embassy works that way!

booking my accomodation soon. there are some options of hotels to choose, but i am still not fixed with my itinerary. so, wait for that to be done first.

planning for tours… the only place i’m sure - and they say must go - is Hua Lian. will take train and hopefully we can spend 2 days there.
or maybe we can go to the hotspring too… it’s supposed to be quite near to Taipei. so traveling there should not be a problem ;)

will be meeting my friend who has migrated there from singapore. so, probably we will arrange for a dinner, or other thing. but i guess he is pretty busy with his work too…

shopping, shopping, and shopping…. they say night markets in taiwan is great for shopping! cheaper than singapore, and with great variety of clothes and shoes! hmmm… should i bring a bigger luggage then?

eat, eat, and eat… they say Taiwan has nice food! yey!

last one: preparing conference presentation :(  not too excited about it. maybe i will just do it the week before i leave, hehehe…

u have anymore suggestion what to do in Taiwan?

me… still awake

August 31st, 2006 by iez

me, still awake at this time.
assignment is due today, and i’m 20% done. Great!
what more to go? just a super big size book, a book chapter, 4 safety standards, and electronic sources to read.
ok, no sleep today…
