taiwan: checklist
I’m going to Taiwan next month!
bought my airticket, which supposed to be the cheapest one as i’m flying budget airlines, JetStar Airways. Apparently, there are many offers coming with cheaper price and better airlines…
ok, take note: departure from Sgp on 7 Oct, departure from Taipei on 15 Oct.
ow, i’m going to have my birthday there!
just got my visa two days ago. Taiwan Embassy is very efficient! I drop my application on monday morning, and collected my passport with stamped Taiwan visa on the next day afternoon. Great! wish indonesian embassy works that way!
booking my accomodation soon. there are some options of hotels to choose, but i am still not fixed with my itinerary. so, wait for that to be done first.
planning for tours… the only place i’m sure - and they say must go - is Hua Lian. will take train and hopefully we can spend 2 days there.
or maybe we can go to the hotspring too… it’s supposed to be quite near to Taipei. so traveling there should not be a problem
will be meeting my friend who has migrated there from singapore. so, probably we will arrange for a dinner, or other thing. but i guess he is pretty busy with his work too…
shopping, shopping, and shopping…. they say night markets in taiwan is great for shopping! cheaper than singapore, and with great variety of clothes and shoes! hmmm… should i bring a bigger luggage then?
eat, eat, and eat… they say Taiwan has nice food! yey!
last one: preparing conference presentation :( not too excited about it. maybe i will just do it the week before i leave, hehehe…
u have anymore suggestion what to do in Taiwan?

Great! and I am waiting for the photos of wide variety of food you will take there.
Don’t forget to take pictures of Tainglish (Taiwan English), if you see there.
