tough choice
IT show, saturday 11 March 2006. suntec city was unusually crowded. i went with strong mind that i had to get a notebook, yeaaah…. a notebok!! one thing in my list to buy since november last year. i had taken brochures from the school’s computer shop several times, but still too worried to decide which one to get. with considerations: do i REALLY need a notebook? my 5 years old pc is still working well (hey, i said well, meaning i can check my emails, do my work, and even use photoshop!!! although i should admit that it is super slow, that i can wait it to start up while having a bath, hehe… BUT still, other than that, it works prety well). i also have my own workstation at school. thanks to centre for human factors and ergonomics, who is generous enough to provide every graduate student with workstation. although the pc assigned to me have several problems (fyi, i have demanded to change my pc maybe 5 times due to the same problems. maybe the problems are with me, not with the pcs - that’s what my fellow labmates always say- sigh).
so, comeback to the main question: do i REALLY need a notebook?
but, afterall, at the IT show, a super crowded place, i finally made my decision. not an easy decision, though.. coz there were so many notebook brands and models around. in the final three, there were Asus, Apple, and Fujitsu. Fujitsu was scrapped as i couldn’t find one with 12.1" screen. Apple, so tempting, I always want to have a cool iBook or PowerBook!! but, at this time I can’t afford the cost of its software. so, one last choice, which I hope the best one, is Asus M5. white color, 12.1", 1.6 kg.
it’s so cool, baby!!!
